I've seen these things called "bases" everywhere on deviant o__o
call me slow. but can i ask? I know that people take them to put there own character on them. and there taken from real animes and such. but why? o_o
just curious ^o^/ is it some kind of trend?

Hmm...I can try to answer that question but it'll probobly just be what I think. XD
I think it's for people who can't draw so bases are there and it's like virutal paper dolling. You add stuff, take away, and such. Or it can be for people who can't draw (like me) yet want to make their charaters, so they use bases. Some bases are traced from anime and pictures others are acualy drawn. :3

oohhh I see. I think I use to do that with my anime DVD's at one point...you know pausing then and drawing the pose with my characters XD

DX dont say you cant draw! using bases then is just another way to start of, anatomy is a killer...
